This release has mostly been about improving the performance of file and directory globbing, but one or two features and bug fixes managed to sneak in as well.

We've also added support for using alias directives which might be useful if you're having problems with conflicting type names. However, this feature only works with the Roslyn based script engine at the moment due to a bug in the Mono compiler. An issue have been filed to Xamarin's bug tracker about this.

Cake v0.5.1 is now available on Homebrew!

Today we're finally announcing Mono support for Cake. This is an important milestone and thanks go to Jonathan Dick for his contributions to make this happen.

We've been testing it for some time now and haven't seen any major bugs, but if you encounter something that's not quite right please make sure to file an issue on GitHub or report it on our Gitter channel.

Cake requires Mono version 4.0.2 to work as expected. You can download it from the Mono website.

Cake version 0.4.3 has been released. It's been a long time (about 1 month) since last update due to vacations, but this release contains a lot of new features and fixes.
